“We will just focus on one game at a time, even though we have a lot of games to win. And getting the proper combination for next year will be crucial for us if we lose a couple. Too many players getting changed is something we don’t want. Therefore, I believe that attempting to qualify will be crucial. In an official interview with the official broadcasters after the game, MS Dhoni stated, “But if not, get a secured eleven for the next year and come back strong.”

Stephen Fleming, the head coach of CSK, repeated MS Dhoni remarks while reiterating that obtaining a postseason berth was still their top aim for the time being.
