"The biggest cheer of the day will go to MS Dhoni." Prior to the MI-CSK match, Aaron Finch

One of the most talked-about topics every time the IPL rolls around is MS Dhoni’s batting position for the Chennai Super Kings. Dhoni continued to lower himself and even bat as low as number eight towards the end of his captaincy tenure. Not much has changed under Ruturaj Gaikwad. Despite displaying his class against the Delhi Capitals by hitting 37 runs off only 16 deliveries, Dhoni again entered the game late to bat against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

But the great cricketer shocked everyone by batting first against the Kolkata Knight Riders, ahead of Ravindra Jadeja, at number five. After that, there have been a lot of discussions over Dhoni batting higher in the order in CSK’s next game against the Mumbai Indians. The keeper-batter should bat a little bit longer, according to former cricketer Aaron Finch, because the crowd enjoys watching him walk out in the middle.

Indeed, it appears that everyone has been waiting for MS Dhoni to bat a little bit longer and come off the field earlier. But really, it’s amazing to witness, especially when you see the pure joy he gives the crowd as soon as he takes the field. Finch told Star Sports, “It’s unbelievable because people don’t know how long they’re going to see it for.”

When the Mumbai Indians play CSK on April 14 at Wankhede Stadium, Aaron Finch said Dhoni would receive the greatest applause.

Looking forward to the match between two of the most successful teams in the tournament’s history, the former captain of Australia said.

Anticipating it, I believe I’ll be up to the task. He is there all the time. He’s a fantastic player. Without a doubt, the largest applause of the day will go to MS Dhoni,” he continued.

In the meantime, CSK has shown promise in the current IPL season, but they have yet to win a game away from home. Their three victories put them in third place on the points standings, while MI’s two wins put them in seventh.
