Sourav Ganguly, the former president of the BCCI, has expressed his opinions about the possible change to the IPL 2025 final. He disclosed that he has been in continuous communication with the IPL authorities over the issue and expressed the hope that a resolution would be reached quickly.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 final is reportedly being considered by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to be moved from Kolkata to Ahmedabad or Mumbai due to the City of Joy’s high rains during this time of year. The Kolkata Knight Riders won the title last year, and Qualifier 2 and the summit match were scheduled to take place at Eden Gardens. When the BCCI released a new schedule for the last stage of the competition following the one-week IPL 2025 postponement, they did not, however, name the locations for the playoff matches.
“No, no, we are attempting to speak with the BCCI. Is moving the final really that simple? I’m confident that everything will be resolved because it’s Eden’s playoffs. I have a lot of hope. Protest isn’t very helpful. India Today cited the former captain of India as saying, “The BCCI and the Cricket Association of Bengal have a very good relationship.”
I was astonished by Kohli’s retirement: Sourav Ganguly
On May 7 and May 12, respectively, India’s legendary team of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma announced their retirements from Test cricket. Sourav Ganguly said he was shocked, especially by Kohli’s choice, and complimented them both on their outstanding careers.
“They made the choice on their own. Is it possible for someone to quit the sport without doing so voluntarily? However, it has been an amazing career, and Rohit Sharma is no exception. I was startled by Kohli’s retirement,” he continued.
After participating in 67 Test matches and amassing 4,301 runs at an average of 40.58, Rohit, 38, retired. Virat Kohli, 36, amassed 9,230 runs from 123 Test matches at an average of 46.85. In the ODI format, both cricket players will continue to play for India. After leading the squad to the Champions Trophy victory earlier this year, Rohit will continue to manage the Men in Blue.
