'How we can push this going forward?'- Morne Morkel reveals India's mindset after two days got washed off in Kanpur Test

Morne Morkel, the Indian team’s bowling coach, was also quite impressed. Before the play that day, he gave the players the memo that had been sent out by the staff. Morkel also described how the Indians had been working towards a goal from the beginning.

On the fourth day of the second Test match against Bangladesh, India’s batsmen ruthlessly destroyed bowlers in front of them. They not only defeated Bangladesh in a matter of sessions, but it was encouraging for all Indian supporters to witness how they presented themselves at bat.

“You know, after losing the first two days of the match, that positive intent was going to be crucial, that was our message this morning. There is still a lot of cricket left in the two remaining days of the Test, so it was crucial to convey that intention. It was amazing to watch how the boys arrived at the ball early. According to Hindustan Times, Morkel said, “We created the pressure (with the ball) and brought wickets, and then to show the intent with the bat was awesome.”

“I don’t think they anticipated that as a bowling unit. Finding ways to advance this has always been a component of our strategy. and how we might get the desired outcome,” Morkel said.

It’s never pleasant to lose days and hours, so that was quite annoying: Morne Morkel

The veteran cricket player from Proteas, who signed with the Indian side before the series, also talked about the frustration he and the teammates felt from wasting more than a few days of play, but he also talked about how committed the players were to the game.

It is never pleasant to lose days and hours. It was kind of annoying because I knew the boys who were sitting about the motel. As a new member of the group, I found it interesting how the guys continued to work out and take care of their bodies after the game. We were aware that, when presented with the chance, we would always consider the good and the ways in which we could contribute. We shown our intent to play throughout the day, Morkel continued.

Bangladesh is still behind by 26 runs and has already lost two batsmen; if the same resolve is displayed on the pitch, India might potentially secure a historic victory. Bangladesh will need to play exceptionally well to make it through the last day of the Test series, while India will be eager to go for the kill.
