Mohsin Naqvi, the chairman of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), reportedly took the trophy from the ACC office and hid it up in an abandoned building in Abu Dhabi.
It’s unclear if the trophy will be given to India because of the new uproar the disclosure has caused.
The winning Indian squad is still awaiting the trophy from the Asia Cup 2025, which ended about a month ago. The trophy hasn’t been formally presented yet, but India overcame Pakistan in the final on Sunday, September 28, in Dubai. As the days go by, more information concerning its location keeps coming to light.
In an effort to retrieve the trophy and guarantee that it is properly awarded to the Indian squad, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is allegedly in continuous contact with the ACC.
