Mohammed Siraj received plaudits from Indian captain Rohit Sharma for his effort in the second Test against the West Indies. The two Test match series between India and the West Indies finished with a 1-0 victory for the Indian team when the final game was called off due to rain. Siraj pulled up a five-wicket haul for the visitors in the first inning.
This was Siraj’s second five-wicket haul in Test matches; interestingly, he was named Player of the Match for his effort. The speedster, who is 29 years old, dismissed the final five batters in the Caribbean lineup, clearing the way for the Indian team to bat the bottom order. The indies team was bowled out for 255 after the host team had reached 208/5 thanks to the right-arm pacer’s session.
