Star Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj has experienced a meteoric ascent to prominence. Mohammed Siraj, who is ranked second in the ICC men’s ODI bowling rankings, has the ability to intimidate even the greatest batsmen. Mohammed Siraj, however, rose to prominence through the Indian Premier League (IPL), just as many other world-class cricketers did.
The 29-year-old made his IPL debut for Sunrisers Hyderabad, who acquired him at the 2017 IPL auction for INR 2.5 crore. Prior to Royal Challengers Bangalore‘s match against Hyderabad in the IPL 2023 on Thursday, May 18, he recently reminisced about his first memories with Hyderabad and his debut.
“I was chosen for the first time by SRH in 2017; I had not participated in the opening matches. After six matches, Tom Moody called me and asked, “Where are you, mate?” I replied, “At home,” and he informed me that I would be playing today. At that moment, I had no idea what was occurring. I promptly returned to the stadium and made my debut against the Delhi Capitals,” Siraj said in a YouTube video uploaded by RCB.

With 16 wickets in 12 matches, the 29-year-old has been Bangalore’s pace attack’s leader. Siraj, currently in ninth position in the race for the IPL purple cap, would be eager to improve his bowling and climb the ladder. Before facing Hyderabad in the 65th match of the tournament, Siraj discussed his debut for the 2016 champions.
“It was the first time I had ever performed in front of a filled stadium. I was so tense. I couldn’t describe the strain I was experiencing; my body had become so heavy and my legs felt so heavy when I was running that I was hit for three consecutive fours; however, on the fourth ball, I got a wicket, and the pressure was relieved.”
