Mohammed Siraj, a right-arm pacer for India, recently shared his motto: “Never let fame and popularity get to your head.” Prior to carving out a successful worldwide career, Siraj’s path was characterised by modest beginnings and simplicity.
Mohammed Siraj stated that he doesn’t want to grow conceited or have a pessimistic outlook. He also described his current behaviour with his boyhood pals.
Mohammed Siraj said that he still keeps in touch with his boyhood pals.
“Considering my background and current status, I simply dislike attitude and haughtiness. I do my best to remain grounded. My current circle of pals is the same as it was in the past. I continue to spend time with them. I would meet new buddies and go around in a Range Rover with them because I haven’t turned into an India player yet. According to The Indian Express, Mohammed Siraj said, “I do drive around in a Range Rover, but I still go to places where I played tennis-ball cricket with my old friends as a child.”
Mohammed Siraj acknowledged that he had explicitly instructed his boyhood pals to treat him equally. He emphasised in his conclusion that maintaining his groundedness has always been his goal.
“I hang out with them and continue to be who I always have been. I don’t cause them any discomfort. I’ll share their cup of tea with them. We joke about and laugh just like we did to when I wasn’t playing cricket for the country. I inform them that, as before, we are equals and that they should not treat me any differently. Nowadays, after achieving success, people do a number of things. I want to stay grounded at all times. I know that I will perform well at times, but success can also vanish,” he continued.
Since making his debut for India in November 2017, Siraj has participated in 42 Test matches, 44 ODIs, and 16 T20Is. One of the standout players for the Shubman Gill-led team in the series-opening match, which India won by an innings and 140 runs in Ahmedabad, he is presently playing in the home Test series against the West Indies.
