RP Singh was reported by the Hindustan Times as stating, “Now, if you look at the technical bit, he has worked very hard on his wrist position and follow through for which he is getting the ball to top bounce better and is also bowling stump-to-stump.
Further praising the Hyderabad-born seamer, RP said that if his trajectory continues upward, he might replace Bumrah and become the next Mohammed Shami.
“Of course, he can be a replacement for Bumrah. In fact, he might be the next Mohammed Shami, in my opinion, if his graph keeps rising, he said.

In the ongoing IPL 2023, Siraj is the joint third-highest wicket-taker, with 15 wickets to his name from nine matches at an average of 17.13 and an economy of 7.34. Eight of his 15 wickets have come in the powerplay, and among bowlers who have bowled at least ten overs in that phase, he is the only one with an economy rate of under six for the first six overs.
