India are eager to see their star player return, according to Mohammed Shami, who admits that "We Do Miss Him"

On the other hand, Mohammed Shami mentioned that Bumrah’s absence is always felt inside the squad, and he expressed his optimism that the 29-year-old will soon return and bolster the bowling assault.

In the second one-day international match, which took place on Saturday in Raipur, India, Team India kept up their scorching form and defeated New Zealand by eight wickets The team captained by Rohit Sharma currently holds an unassailable 2-0 lead against New Zealand in the three-match series. This victory comes on the heels of a flawless performance in the one-day internationals against Sri Lanka.

As a result of the home team’s decision to bowl first, they were able to exert complete control over the visiting team from New Zealand. Mohammad Shami took three wickets, and the tourists were all out for 108 runs.

In addition to him, Mohammed Siraj stepped up to the challenge and recorded the figures of 1/10 in six overs.

Despite the absence of their seasoned fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, the pace department for Team India appears to be in good shape.

Due to a back ailment, Bumrah has not participated in any of the team’s activities since September of 2022. However, he did not play in any of the one-day internationals that were just finished versus Sri Lanka since a precautionary action was taken on his behalf.

“It is always noticeable when there are not enough good players. However, play will continue even if one of the players sustains an injury. Because of his skill at bowling, we do miss having him around.

We are keeping our fingers crossed that he will be back on the field soon so that the team can continue to improve.

He is now working on improving his fitness, and we are looking forward to having him on the Indian team so that we can finish the setup “During the post-game news conference, Mohammed Shami made the following statement.

At the second one-day international match, which took place in Raipur on Saturday, the hosts India cruised to an eight-wicket victory over the visiting New Zealand batting line-up to win the three-game series. India’s relentless pace attack mowed through a weak batting lineup.

After being bowled out for a paltry 108, New Zealand’s innings was ended by an aggressive effort headed by Mohammed Shami, who was followed by India’s knocking off the runs in 20.1 overs. Shubman Gill remained unbeaten after scoring 40 runs off 53 bowling deliveries, while Rohit Sharma scored a magnificent 50 from 51 balls.

However, the sea of spectators that had travelled to the remotely located Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Stadium for Raipur’s first international game were left wanting for more due to the game’s early conclusion. It was an impressive win for Raipur, but the crowd were disappointed nonetheless.

After Rohit made the decision to bowl first, Mohammed Shami (3/18) and Mohammed Siraj (1/10) both delivered high-quality seam bowling that made life difficult for the batters, bringing New Zealand’s score down to a miserable 15 for five.

Even though the Indian openers made batting look easy in the evening, the New Zealand hitters had a more difficult time since the odd ball halting made their work more difficult.

On Tuesday, the third and final one-day international will take place in Indore.
