Famous Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami, who played a key role in his country’s ODI World Cup victory, expressed his happiness at winning the coveted Arjuna Award. President Droupadi Murmu presented Shami with an award at the National Sports Awards ceremony. Mohammed Shami is currently recovering from an ankle injury.
Athletes who have demonstrated leadership, sportsmanship, and discipline are recognized with the Arjuna Award, which is India’s second-highest sporting honor. I can’t put into words how I feel. This is a dream. I keep trying because I enjoy what I do and I want to do my best in my role,” Mohammed Shami said to India today.
