"Mohammed Amir anticipates IPL eligibility next season, expresses wish to join RCB."

When he gets eligible in 2026, former Pakistani fast bowler Mohammed Amir has stated his intention to compete in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Mohammed Amir said obtaining a UK passport would allow him to play in the lucrative league and open doors.

Mohammed Amir, who is no longer playing international cricket, talked about the potential consequences of playing in the IPL in Pakistan.

“I will have the chance to participate in the IPL by the following year. Why not, if given the opportunity? On the show Haarna Mana Hai, Amir declared, “I’ll play in the IPL.”

“Some of our former players were doing commentary and coaching franchises, even though Pakistani cricketers were not permitted to play in the IPL,” he continued.

Mohammed Amir became aware of Ramiz Raja, a league pundit, and Wasim Akram, a former coach of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

Along with talking about his love for Indian batting legend Virat Kohli, the left-arm bowler recalled a memorable occasion in 2016 when Kohli gave him a bat in Kolkata prior to the T20 World Cup match.

“Virat is a fantastic player who appreciates skill. I was struck by his gesture when he handed me his bat. He appreciates my bowling, and I’ve always liked his hitting. “I used that bat to play some nice knocks,” Amir said.

Amir also expressed interest in playing for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the Indian Premier League. His colleague guest, Ahmed Shehzad, supported this claim, speculating that Amir might be the final component needed for RCB’s perplexing title quest.

To solve their bowling problems, RCB needs a player like Amir. Although they have always had good batting, they have struggled with bowling. They will win the title if Amir joins them,” Shehzad declared.

On March 22, the first day of the season, RCB takes on KKR at Eden Gardens to kick off their IPL 2025 campaign.
