Breaking His Silence On His Future Plans, Mohammad Amir Declares, "Will Play For Pakistan..."

Mohammad Amir, who plays for Pakistan as a pace bowler, has expressed his enthusiasm at the possibility of playing for his country once more.

Notably, Mohammad Amir decided to end his career on the world stage in 2020, citing the “shabby” treatment he claimed to have received from the management at the time as the reason. Wahab Riaz, Amir’s teammate and fellow pacer, dropped a hint not too long ago that Amir would be returning to Pakistan’s squad.

In an interview with Samaa News, Wahab was reported by Cricket Pakistan as saying that there is a possibility that Mohammad Amir would return to play for Pakistan at some point in the future.

However, now that the new administration has shown Ramiz Raja, the former head of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the door to the exit door, Mohammad Amir has finally broken his silence on his plans for the future of Pakistan.

“In the event that Allah wills it, I will compete for Pakistan once again. However, my goals for the PSL are to be a good player and perform well “Mohammad Amir revealed this information to the reporters present at the National High-Performance Centre (NHPC) in Lahore.

In particular, Mohammad Amir has been working out at the National Hockey and Pucking Center (NHPC) in order to get ready for the upcoming season of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

Amir expressed his gratitude to Najam Sethi, the interim chief of the PCB, for granting him permission to practise at the NHPC.

It is important to bring to your attention that Ramiz was kicked out of his position as chairman of the PCB earlier this month. During the next two and a half months, the operations of the game will be managed by a committee that consists of fourteen people and is chaired by Najam Sethi.

In the wake of Pakistan’s national side being swept 3-0 by England in the Test series, the Pakistani authorities informed the public last week that Raja had been removed from his position.

The notification, which was issued by the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif, needs to be authorised by the federal cabinet, but this will merely be a formality.

Since Ramiz Raja was ousted from his position as head of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), numerous individuals involved in the sport in the nation have voiced their opposition to him.
