After scoring his second century against MI New York in Match 21 of the current Major League Cricket season, Texas Super Kings captain Faf du Plessis reminisced on his love for the sport. Du Plessis only needed 53 deliveries to get 103 runs.
At Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas, the top-order hitter shared his feelings after the game, believing that his team had successfully surpassed the par score on a somewhat challenging deck.
“The wicket slowed down a little, but I felt we got off to a strong start in the first six overs. Getting 200+ was great, but anything around 185 was good. I have a strong desire to continue playing while I’m performing. I’m afraid that I won’t reach my full potential. During the post-match presentation, Faf du Plessis said, “I’m trying to use my potential and squeeze every bit of it.”
Additionally, he explained why Akeal Hosein, who ended up winning Player of the Match, did not open the bowling as he often does in the vast majority of his Twenty20 matches.
“We had a sneaking notion that they may open with Pooran, but Akeal was scheduled to open. Burger and Zia, our two lefties, were delighted to have a look at Nicky P. Once he gets rolling, he is a dangerous player. We began by playing cricket incorrectly in the first three games played at home. Everyone deserves praise for raising their hand.
We need to evaluate the circumstances and choose a side appropriately since we have a new location,” Faf du Plessis continued.
Texas recorded its fifth victory of the competition, with du Plessis and Hosein being the team’s best performers. There were nine sixes and five fours in the 40-year-old’s knock. Hosein, meanwhile, finished the match with an incredible three-fifths-fifths quota.
