In the third Test of the three-match series between the West Indies and Australia, Mitchell Starc ripped through the top-order by taking three wickets in the opening over of their run-chase. On Day 3 of the match at Sabina Park, Mitchell Starc took wickets on the first, fifth, and sixth deliveries in the opening over of the second innings for the West Indies.
Brandon King (zero off one), Kevlon Anderson (zero off four), and John Campbell (zero off one) were his first three victims. He had already recorded his five-wicket haul shortly after.
After recording the fastest five-for (15 deliveries) in cricket history, Mitchell Starc cemented his place in the sport’s annals.

In his 100th game in the red-ball format, the seasoned fast bowler put on an incredible display. His highest innings totals in Test cricket were 6/9 in 7.3 overs in the second innings. There were four maidens in the 7.3 overs.
In 14.3 overs, Starc and company made sure the West Indies were bowled out for a pitiful 27. With the seamer achieving the first-ever hat-trick in pink-ball Test cricket, Scott Boland played a key role in cleaning out the tail. West Indies’ 27 is the second-lowest innings total in Test cricket history and their lowest Test total to date.
Australia recorded their largest victory by a margin of runs, winning the match by 176 runs. They won the first and second Test matches by 159 and 133 runs, respectively, before this. They will play England at home in their upcoming red-ball assignment. Later this year, on November 21, the much awaited five-match Test series will begin.
