AUS vs IND: Mitchell Starc dismissed Yashasvi Jaiswal for ‘Golden duck’, joins Gavaskar for unwanted record

In the Adelaide Test on Friday, December 6, bowler Mitchell Starc removed Team India’s explosive opener Yashasvi Jaiswal on the opening ball, preventing him from continuing his incredible batting form. It was noteworthy because Jaiswal was into the match fresh off of smashing a fatherly century (161 runs) in Perth.

He trapped the southpaw in front of the wicket, though, and Mitchell Starc overcame him.

The ongoing day-night Test is an essential component of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT 2024-25), for those who are not familiar with it. As a result, the 22-year-old was added to an unpleasant record that also included the renowned Sunil Gavaskar.
