Mitchell Marsh Jokes About Rohit, Kohli Before IND vs AUS ODIs

In the upcoming three-match ODI series between Australia and India, Mitchell Marsh, Australia’s acting ODI captain, has issued a cheeky wish that Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma don’t score many runs.

In addition to calling Rohit and Kohli “legends of the game,” Mitchell Marsh also noted the fervor of the Australian fans who will swarm the stadiums to see the seasoned pair for what may be their “last time on Australian soil.”

“Over the course of the trip, I had the honor of playing against them frequently. Obviously, they are game legends. The best chaser in history is Virat, particularly in this white-ball format. I think you can see why so many people are coming to witness them and why ticket sales are so high. “And if it’s their last time in Australia, I hope they have a good time and I hope people can watch two of the greats play in Australia, not too much great cricket from them,” India Today reported Mitchell Marsh as saying.

Both Rohit and Kohli have amassed a ton of runs against Australia over their professional careers, and they have a great record against them in ODIs.

During the 2025 Champions Trophy, which won the title, the pair last played for India. They will be wearing the India uniform for the first time since March for the Australia series.

Shubman Gill was recently named the full-time ODI captain, and he will be leading them in the match. He is presently the 20-over team’s vice-captain and full-time Test captain. Gill just finished a 2-2 series draw with England.
