The outcome would have been different if Mitchell Marsh had collected Kohli’s catch early in the innings when he was still getting his bearings.
Indian fans recognized the significance of the drop, and while some celebrated it in person, others posted about their joy on social media. It’s not ideal to give someone of Kohli’s caliber a second chance in a run-chase, and Australia continued to regret the error.

The other Australian hitters struggled to adapt to the slow pitch, and in the 50th over, the five-time champions were bowled out for 199.
With the ball, Ravindra Jadeja shone and scored three runs. At least one wicket was taken in the match by each of the six Indian bowlers who bowled. India will have a lot of momentum after this victory as they play Afghanistan on Wednesday before their massive match against Pakistan on October 14.
