Mitchell Johnson

Recently, former Australian pacer Mitchell Johnson made headlines everywhere when he went after veteran hitter David Warner with a vicious attack. Johnson asked why Warner, who was implicated in the 2018 ball-tampering controversy, was receiving a “hero’s send-off” from Test cricket.

Following Mitchell Johnson remarks, a number of individuals voiced their opinions. The experienced batter’s wife, Candice, also spoke up, saying that she was pleased with the amount of support from the cricket community.

“We’re operating successfully. David’s house. It’s always nice to have him home in the run-up to Christmas, especially after three months apart from each other. According to Candice Warner, “It’s really lovely for David to have that support, but at the end of the day, that’s all that matters.”

Everybody may obtain a headline: Erskine James

Regarding Johnson’s remarks, James Erskine, David Warner’s manager, also voiced his opinion, saying that anybody can make headlines. He also discussed Warner’s inclusion in Australia’s Test team, saying that it makes perfect sense despite Warner’s lackluster performance in the format.

“I’ll tell you what, anybody can make headlines. The truth is that [Warner’s choice] makes sense. [Matthew] Renshaw, [Cameron] Bancroft, who has performed admirably in the Sheffield Shield, and [Marcus] Harris are the three [replacement] contenders. The Sydney Morning Herald cited Erskine as saying, “Now they’ve all had spells opening the batting for Australia.”

After the Pakistan Test series, Warner stated that he planned to retire from the longest format. Warner has declared that he would love to retire at Sydney Cricket Ground, where he was born. It’s important to remember that Australia and Pakistan will play three Test matches, with the first one starting on December 14 at Optus Stadium in Perth.
