The Indian squad put on a strong performance to start the third Test of their current series against England. After a string of outstanding performances by the Indian batting assault, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja stood out as the two teams squared off at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot on February 15.
Ravindra Jadeja gave the crowd a fantastic performance following some outstanding displays in the top order by Rohit Sharma and Sarfaraz Khan. Michael Vaughan, a former England cricketer, took notice of Jadeja when she scored 112 runs in 225 deliveries.
Regarding his criticism, Michael Vaughan stated that Jadeja had even greater patience during his innings than players like Sarfaraz and Rohit Sharma. He praised everything, even his batting mindset.
Even though Jadeja spent the majority of his career playing at No. 7, his mentality is similar to that of a top-order batter. He played more conventional Test matches than Rohit Sharma and Sarfaraz Khan, and he is willing to put in the hard work and see a bowler off. He reminded me of the days when we played cricket in Test matches. Michael Vaughan told Cricbuzz, “Just bat, bat, and bat; don’t give any chances.”

Vaughan even called Jadeja a great performer and mentioned that there was only one flaw in his batting. It is noteworthy that team India was well-positioned going into Day 2 thanks to the century made by Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja as well as Sarfaraz Khan’s 62 runs in the opening innings.
“A very classy act, Ravindra Jadeja. Only a yard outside of the stump, fuller length, where you can nick it away, is the one area of his game where you can push him. All day, Jimmy and Mark Wood tried that. He played, missing a couple. He is a very reliable performer, in my opinion, on Indian surfaces where there isn’t much zip, Vaughan remarked.
