Although Megan Schutt acknowledged that it also makes her feel older, she said she will keep playing cricket as long as Cricket Australia extends her contract. “I adore this game. I really adore this silly game, even if there is a lot more failure than success in it. It’s a game that never stops changing, and I adore the people who are involved. I never stop trying to improve. In a hitter’s game, being a fast bowler is quite difficult, but I enjoy the challenge,” she continued.

As a quick bowler, Megan Schutt stated that reaching 200 games is a unique accomplishment for her. In her international cricket career, she has amassed 260 wickets since making her debut in 2012. Regarding her 12-year career to date, Schutt said she still pushes herself to play even though it is getting harder for her to get out of bed in the mornings.
“Being a bowler and having played so much cricket—not many players around have played as much cricket as I have—is the most satisfying aspect of my job. I suppose that my lack of speed helps me, but becoming a 200-game bowler is undoubtedly a unique accomplishment. It’s true that getting out of bed in the mornings is a little more difficult. However, I’ll continue working hard at the gym and trying my best; if I continue to receive contracts, I’ll play on,” she said.
