Match delayed at MCG due to third umpire getting stuck in elevator for AUS vs. PAK

Day 3 of the current second Test between Australia and Pakistan saw a strange interruption in play when umpire Richard Illingworth became stuck in a lift. Over the years, there have been numerous delays in cricket, from rain playing spoilsport to technical difficulties, but the match official becoming trapped in an elevator was a first. On Day 3, after lunch, the play was delayed for over five minutes because third umpire Richard Illingworth got trapped in the MCG elevator.

The announcers panned the cameras toward Illingworth’s seat at the MCG, but he was not there.
