Marcus Stoinis is duped by Sandeep Sharma's in-swinger during LSG vs. RR, and the video becomes viral
At the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) squared off in the 44th match of the IPL 2024. Marcus Stoinis struggled to contain the genius of Sandeep Sharma’s bowling during the game, having just made a century in the previous encounter.

With a delivery that left Marcus Stoinis perplexed, Sandeep Sharma created an inaccurate shot that let the ball slip through and rattle the middle stump. LSG was struggling at 11/2 after Stoinis left for just a four-ball duck. Nevertheless, Deepak Hooda and captain KL Rahul expertly assumed the responsibility of rebuilding the innings.

As early strikes threatened to stop the LSG’s momentum, the inning was somewhat unpredictable. But they managed to put up a respectable total thanks to Hooda’s aggressiveness and KL Rahul’s cool-headed performance.

Because of several well-executed shots and fast racing between the wickets, LSG was able to compile a formidable total despite the early blowouts. But Sandeep Sharma and the rest of the RR bowling team rallied heroically in the last overs, giving up just 24 runs in the final three overs.

Just this past year, I improved on what I was doing: Hooda

Deepak Hooda, who carried his domestic success into the IPL, was happy with his performance after the first inning, saying that he had improved upon his form from the previous year. He knew he had to take advantage of the shorter boundaries, so he adjusted his batting to the wicket’s circumstances. Hooda underlined the value of shrewd batting and bowling tactics on the field and thought the team’s total was competitive. He emphasised the team’s confidence and voiced hope for the next difficulties.

“I simply improved on my previous performance and carried over my domestic form into the IPL.” One side was shorter than the other, and the wicket (on his off-side shots) demanded it. It never occurred to me that today would be mine. This is a decent surface, so I believe the score is par. We’ll need to use our variations and the longer side. It’s a challenge for the bowlers as well; you can’t just plod along mindlessly. According to Hooda, cited by Cricbuzz, “the confidence is high, and we’re hoping for the best.”
