Manoj Tiwary, a former cricket player, believes that Kohli should take home an IPL trophy this year because of his contributions to the lucrative competition and his personal achievements. Tiwary went on to compare India’s 2011 victory in the ODI World Cup, which was a tribute to the legendary Sachin Tendulkar, to RCB’s IPL victory for Virat.
Virat Kohli, the famous cricket player, has always been linked to Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who are having one of their best seasons in the Indian Premier League’s history. Kohli hasn’t seen success with the team, even though he has played for the team for 18 seasons and is the tournament’s top run scorer.
“That triumph was an homage to him,” Manoj Tiwary continued.
“RCB has a good opportunity of placing in the top two teams after the Gujarat Titans’ defeat by the Chennai Super Kings. The Bengal cricketer was quoted by Odisha TV as stating, “It feels like everything is aligning to help RCB break their trophy drought and win the IPL.”
“After all these years, Virat Kohli really deserves this. RCB is also deserving of the trophy. Virat Kohli is the only one who truly deserves it. Because of Sachin Tendulkar’s enormous impact on Indian cricket, we all wanted India to win the World Cup in 2011 for him.
In pursuit of a top-two finish, RCB
However, this season appears to be different because RCB appears to be the most balanced team both on paper and in the field. With eight victories in 13 games, they have already earned a spot in the playoffs. They will play the Lucknow Super Giants in the final league stage. Along with the teams that place first and second on the Points Table, they do have the opportunity to compete in the Qualifier 1.
In addition to defeating LSG, they will need to hope that the Gujarat Titans and Punjab Kings lose their remaining group stage games in order to increase their chances of winning. On Sunday, May 25, GT will play their final game against the Chennai Super Kings, while PBKS will play the Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians to wrap off their league stage campaigns.
