Manoj Tiwary, a veteran Indian batter, has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket.

Manoj Tiwary, the seasoned Indian cricket player from Bengal, has decided to say goodbye to all forms of cricket in an emotional post posted on social media. Tiwary thanked his supporters and reminisced over his sporting career.

Following a lengthy and remarkable career that lasted more than ten years, Tiwary has decided to retire. The cricket player had declared his retirement last year, but he quickly changed his mind before this final farewell. Tiwary apologized to his supporters, family, and teammates for any disappointment caused during an open news conference held at Eden Gardens. He also acknowledged that his first decision had been made rashly.

During a news appearance at Eden Gardens Media Center last year, Manoj stated, “I made a snap decision.” My decision was self-serving because it could have harmed my fans, teammates, and family.”

Tiwary, who called the cricket field his favorite 22 yards, recently shared a sentimental and appreciative social media post. He expressed gratitude to his fans for their support and affection over the course of his career. In addition, Tiwary invited his supporters to Eden Gardens to watch the Bengal vs. Bihar match, as it is currently taking place, in order to celebrate his final innings.

Tiwary shared, “Hey everyone, Therefore, the last dance is about to begin! Maybe one last time for a stroll down the 22 yards to my lover. I shall sincerely miss it all! 🏏 I appreciate your support and love throughout the years. I would love it if everyone could join me in my favorite #EdenGardens today and tomorrow to support Bengal.

πŸ‘πŸ™Œ Your Manoj Tiwary is a faithful servant of cricket.”

Hi all,

So… It’s time for the one last dance! Possibly one last time for a long walk towards my beloved 22 yards. I will miss every bit of it! 🏏

Thanks for cheering and loving me all these years. Would be loving it if you all come down to my favourite #EdenGardens today and… pic.twitter.com/uRsVS1Zsnp

Success and setbacks have both been a part of Tiwary’s cricket career. His services to Bengal cricket have been enormous, even though he hasn’t had many opportunities to play internationally. With an astounding average of around 48, he has amassed almost 10,000 runs at a fifty-five-run clip in first-class cricket. Bengal made it to the Ranji Trophy finals in 2022–2023 while he was captain.

Manoj Tiwary has played for multiple clubs in the Indian Premier League, such as the Delhi Capitals (formerly known as the Delhi Daredevils), Punjab Kings, Rising Pune Supergiant, and Kolkata Knight Riders. Tiwary is presently employed by the West Bengal government as the Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports.
