Indian women’s cricket star Smriti Mandhana and renowned music composer Palash Muchhal were being married on Sunday in Sangli, but the festivities were briefly interrupted by the unexpected arrival of an ambulance.
The couple, who started dating in 2019 and kept their relationship low-key until 2024, enjoyed a week-long pre-wedding celebration. There were many touching moments during their sangeet, mehendi, and haldi rituals.
But in the middle of all the lively festivities, there was a tense moment when an ambulance arrived at the location. There was a brief period of confusion, according to eyewitnesses, as nobody first realised what had happened or who needed medical care. Fans who were eagerly monitoring the wedding via social media updates and livestreams, however, were shocked. Videos of the ambulance pulling into the venue went viral very fast.
One of the most talked-about celebrity occasions of the year has been Mandhana and Palash’s wedding.

Early reports state that one attendee experienced a medical issue and needed to be taken right away to a local hospital. Although the person’s identity and the severity of the health problem have not been made public, sources have verified that the bride, groom, or their close relatives were not connected to the incident.
In order to ensure that the person received urgent attention, the organisers and family members promptly intervened to control the situation. They haven’t yet released an official statement, though, most likely for security and privacy reasons. The ceremony soon resumed, and the wedding proceeded according to schedule, despite the little interruption.
