Pace leader Jasprit Bumrah has the support of former BCCI chairman of selectors Chetan Sharma, who has emphasised that players should heed the advise of their physiotherapists since they are the greatest arbiters of workload management. Mohammed Siraj led the pace attack in the remaining two Test matches during the England trip, whereas Bumrah only played in three. This led to criticism. Sharma, a former fast bowler himself, compared the circumstance to a patient doing as instructed by a physician.
