In an effort to secure a position in the 2023 Ashes, which will start on June 16, fast bowler Lance Morris of Western Australia will join his state captain Sam Whiteman at Northamptonshire County Cricket Club this winter. Before Australia’s journey to England, he will play three games for the club. Significantly, he won back-to-back Sheffield Shield championships, which aided in his eligibility for the national Test match.
Chris Tremain has also agreed to a short-term contract with Northamptonshire, joining Morris. According to the county cricket club, Tremain will join the team for the first three games of the season before Morris takes over for three games in May.
