For the forthcoming 2025–26 SA20 season, Lance Klusener will return as head coach of the Durban Super Giants, marking his fourth year in that role.
One of South Africa’s most renowned all-round players and a well-respected figure in international cricket, Lance Klusener has played a significant role in forming the identity of the Durban Super Giants since arriving in the first season. The squad advanced to the finals in Season 2 under his leadership, and despite a difficult Season 3 campaign, the franchise is still dedicated to its long-term goal of creating a championship team.
“To continue this adventure with the RPSG Group and the Durban Super Giants is an honour. I sincerely appreciate your believe in me and your support.
This season, I’m excited to create something even more unique,” Lance Klusener remarked.
Over the last three years, we have established the groundwork. It’s time to assemble a squad that can win the championship and represent Durban with pride. My residence is in Durban. Building a lasting relationship with our players and supporters is our mission as coaches, he continued.
Lance Klusener continued, “We’ve done a deep review of our past season and have identified key areas for improvement,” in reference to the player auction scheduled for September 9. We have a vital chance to bolster our team and get back to our peak with this auction.
