Bharat Arun witnessed firsthand Kuldeep Yadav‘s growth while serving as India’s bowling coach. The wrist spinner’s performances during the forthcoming five-match tour of England, which begins on June 20, are now what the former India pacer wants to leave an enduring impression.
Even on wet wickets, wrist spinners have shown to be successful in England, according to Arun. The 62-year-old added that Kuldeep Yadav could benefit from the surfaces’ roughness.
Particularly in England, wrist spinners have always been successful. Perhaps those wrist spinners will benefit even at the beginning, when the surface is slightly damp. The roughs that the bowlers make are another. Once more, however, using the rough is a different art. Bowling isn’t the only thing involved. Shane Warne, I believe, is someone that immediately springs to mind.
According to Arun on Revsportz, Kuldeep Yadav have sufficient abilities to succeed in England.
Kuldeep Yadav has taken 56 wickets at an average of 22.16 in 13 Test matches. In 2017, he debuted in the game’s longest format. Since players like Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, and Axar Patel are frequently selected before him, the Uttar Pradesh spinner has primarily served as a backup. However, Kuldeep might have his chance in the UK following Ashwin’s retirement and Axar’s departure from the team.
India’s bowling lineup is somewhat inexperienced going into the series. Although he will only play three games to manage his workload, Jasprit Bumrah is expected to spearhead the pace attack. However, as the spin-bowling all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja will need to be crucial. Since Prasidh Krishna and Akash Deep, the other frontline pacers, haven’t played much international cricket, Mohammed Siraj will need to step up. The team’s other specialist pacer, Arshdeep Singh, hasn’t played in the format yet.
“If you look at this bowling attack, yes, it is relatively inexperienced, but it’s got huge potential,” Arun said with a smile.
