Kuldeep Yadav Hails Teammate as His Mentor

Kuldeep Yadav has recently emerged as one of India’s top performers. The management of the Indian team was pushed by supporters and experts to give him chances during the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy earlier this year. On the other hand, Kuldeep was forced to sit out the entire five-match England tour. The left-arm spinner, however, was the tournament’s best wicket-taker by a wide margin during India’s successful Asia Cup campaign last month. He claimed 17 scalps at an average of 9.29 in seven games.

Kuldeep Yadav called fellow left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja his “Guru” immediately prior to the second Test match between India and the West Indies at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium. In the Ahmedabad first Test, they each caused mayhem by taking eight wickets across two innings. Jadeja won the Player of the Match title after smashing an undefeated 104 off 176 deliveries.

It’s critical to strike the lengths precisely and with precision. My guru from the England tour, Jadeja, is here, as you can see. I’ve struck the right distances and been pretty consistent both here and throughout the Asia Cup. One feels that they are bowling well when they consistently hit the proper length. Although we don’t discuss cricket much with Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav told JioHotstar, “it’s nice to have him around.”

The bowling differences between T20 and Test cricket are explained by Kuldeep Yadav.

In contrast to T20Is, the Uttar Pradesh spinner claimed that bowling strategies in Test matches are completely different. In the red-ball format, he attempts to force the batter to drive by pitching the ball up. In the shortest format, however, he bowls flat rather than overly airing the ball.

“Playing T20 is completely different from playing red-ball. I believe that even if I didn’t get a game in England, I bowled enough. In terms of practice, I was just as good. When playing T20, you must alter the ball’s trajectory and refrain from going too lollypop there. However, Kuldeep Yadav stated (from the previously mentioned source) that in this test, you must pitch the ball up and force the hitter to drive the ball.
