'Whenever we get the chance, we will play there’ - Kuldeep Yadav shares his thoughts on Pakistan playing Champions Trophy

The Champions Trophy 2025 is scheduled to take place in Pakistan, but it is unclear if India would compete in the championship because of its geographical location. The choice is entirely up to what the government decides, as stated by the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India).

It is noteworthy that the Asia Cup 2023 was conducted in a hybrid format since India was unable to visit Pakistan, and since the political unrest between the two nations has prevented bilateral series between them from happening for more than ten years.

Star Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav grabbed the stage as he reflected on the entire situation, expressing his desire to play in Pakistan if given the opportunity.

“We will play wherever we are sent as cricketers. I am excited because I have never gone to Pakistan before. At an event in Australia, Kuldeep stated, “The Pakistani people are great, and we will definitely go and play there whenever we get the chance,” as reported by Cricket Pakistan.

Our stadiums don’t meet international standards at all: Mohsin Naqvi the Chairman of PCB

Notably, the Pakistan Cricket Board, or PCB, has denied any reports that the Champions Trophy 2025 would be transferred or postponed outside of the nation. The board has been working hard to renovate its venues for the competition in advance of the major tournament.

Mohsin Naqvi, the chairman of the PCB, recently provided some information about the ongoing improvements at the tournament’s various locations. He appeared dissatisfied with the amenities as they are right now. Indeed, he brought up the problems that still exist, such as the lack of restrooms and basic cleanliness within stadium grounds, which blatantly detracts from the experience of spectators.

According to NDTV Mohsin Naqvi, stated, “There’s a huge difference in international stadiums and those of ours […] none of our stadiums are of international standard.”

“Day and night, the Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) crew is at work. Providing basic amenities in stadiums is [our] first goal, and we will put our stadiums among the greatest in the world. With God willing, Pakistan will host the Champions Trophy. Although the PCB is actively working with security agencies, match dates may change. The primary goal is for these venues to be Champions Trophy-ready,” he said in closing.
