In the forthcoming series, Shubman Gill will captain the Indian Test team, and Kuldeep said he has complete faith in Gill’s ability to lead. According to him, Gill has gained a lot of knowledge and possesses the leadership traits that earlier captains instilled in him.
“Shubman is a capable team leader. Over the past two years, he has worked under the seniors. You’ve probably seen him talking with Rohit bhai a lot over the past year, both in Test matches and even in One-Day Internationals. He has undoubtedly gained a lot of knowledge, but based on my observations thus far, he is a very driven leader who has been actively contributing to the team’s success,” Kuldeep stated.
“Over the past three to four sessions, I’ve noticed that Shubman possesses the same traits that I’ve observed in our prior leadership groups. He’s prepared to guide us,” he continued.
The current intra-squad encounter between Team India and Beckenham is predicted to benefit spinners due to the favourable conditions. Because of England’s recent switch from traditional green pitches to flatter ones, spinners may be used more frequently in the forthcoming Test series.
“It appears that spinners will get several nice wickets. The practice match’s wicket was suitable for batting. It’s day three today, and I’ll find out how the wicket is now when I get to bowl, but in my practice sessions so far, the ball has been turning a little. On the first day, there was some light moisture, and the seamers received some assistance, but as the game progressed, I felt there was some bounce for the spinners. The wrist left-arm leg spinner admitted, “It would be great if it stayed this way throughout the [Test] matches as well.
“Spinners can receive assistance if the wickets are like this and the weather is warm, as it has been for the past three to four days. “Yes, it feels good to bowl if you get a slightly helpful wicket, but I don’t worry that much about conditions,” he added.

Kuldeep Yadav also acknowledged that the goal is to bowl as many overs as possible in a legitimate Test match after playing T20Is for several months. According to him, this method aids in the bowlers’ development and enhances their overall game performance.
Volume is crucial because we’ve played a lot of Twenty20 cricket over the past four to five months. All bowlers are told to bowl as many overs [in practice as they would in a match]: the fast bowlers will bowl at least 15 to 20 overs to fully prepare for the Test match, and the more they bowl, the better’, Kuldeep said.
