Virat Kohli’s quick catch off Ravindra Jadeja bowling earned rave reviews from the legendary Indian all-rounder. At second slip on Thursday, July 27 at Kensington Oval in Barbados, Kohli made an outstanding catch against the West Indies. In the first game of the three-game series, Rohit Sharma and company put on a great showing to win by five wickets.
India won the toss and elected to bowl first, taking control of the match right away. Kyle Mayers, the opener, was bowled by all-rounder Hardik Pandya, and Mukesh Kumar secured his first 50-over wicket thanks to a catch by Ravindra Jadeja. The spin-bowling all-rounder caught Alick Athanaze in the eighth over with a superb catch at backward point.
Jadeja entered the attack in the 12th over and allowed nine runs. In contrast, Shimron Hetmyer was bowled by the left-arm spinner for just 11 runs in the subsequent over. In the 18th over, he dismissed Rovman Powell and Romario Shepherd twice, the second of which required an incredible catch from Virat Kohli.
Jadeja said that he used to take beautiful catches off other people’s bowling and that it was exciting to see someone else take a terrific catch off his bowling during a discussion with Kuldeep Yadav, the footage of which was released by the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India). The former India captain’s capture was complimented by the 34-year-old, who called it a “great catch.”
“Seeing someone take a terrific catch off my bowling for once was wonderful because I always take excellent catches off other people’s bowling. Virat made a terrific catch, but he had to be quick since the ball was moving low. It was a good take because he had little time to respond.
On these kinds of wickets, a bowler’s confidence is greatly increased if the fielders are on their side, according to Ravindra Jadeja.

As West Indies were bowled out for a pitiful total of 114, Jadeja concluded with figures of 3/37 in six overs. With impressive final figures of 4/6, veteran spinner Kuldeep Yadav played a crucial role for India. With their new batting order, India had some issues, but courtesy to Ishan Kishan’s fifty, they easily won with five wickets left to spare. The Men in Blue secured their eighth straight victory against the West Indies in ODIs, adding another achievement and record to India’s collection.
