Kohli Caught in Serious Talk with Selector

The Ace At the Ranchi airport, Indian batter Virat Kohli was seen having a heated discussion with Pragyan Ojha, a newly appointed member of the selection committee. India and South Africa are presently playing a three-match ODI series. Ojha nodded as Kohli, who was seated next to him, appeared to be sending a message.

In what appeared to be a light-hearted exchange, former Deccan Chargers teammates Rohit and Ojha were also seen with head coach Gautam Gambhir. They were observed grinning while they conversed.

In the first ODI of the series, Kohli was named Player of the Match after his 52nd ODI century helped India reach 349/8 after 50 overs.

11 fours and seven sixes were part of Kohli’s 120-ball 135; Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul’s half-centuries also contributed to India’s impressive total.

During the run chase, the Proteas were reduced to 11/3 in the fifth over, but half-centuries from Corbin Bosch, Marco Jansen, and Matthew Breetzke put the tourists within striking distance of India’s total. South Africa lost by 17 runs in the end, with Kuldeep Yadav’s four wickets being the decisive factor.

India, who had already lost the Test series 0–2, has the ideal chance to win the second ODI in Raipur on December 3 and complete the 50-over leg. On December 6, the third and final game will take place in Visakhapatnam. Five Twenty20 Internationals will follow the ODI series.
