In the current three-match ODI series against Australia, former India assistant coach Abhishek Nayar believes that Virat Kohli has not been getting the best treatment. Both games prevented the talismanic hitter from opening his account. Nayar, though, thinks that Kohli’s perseverance and strength will enable him to get through this difficult time.
Nayar recollected how Kohli had recovered well from setbacks in his international career. He brought up the fact that, despite having a terrible batting performance in England in 2014, Kohli overcame his troubles there four years later. When the 36-year-old plays the third and final ODI at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Saturday, October 25, Nayar has backed him to have a strong series finale.

“You claim to require the help of others all the time. So far, he hasn’t had it. That does not imply that he cannot. He just needs to add the zero on the side to the two that already exist. “It will require a great deal of perseverance and resolve on his part, but those are tales,” Nayar stated in an interview on the Star Sports program “Game Plan.”
“A Virat Kohli cannot become a Virat Kohli until he overcomes setbacks. He has done that before. He has had difficulty in England. He’s gone back and overcome it. Virat is the one person I would trust and place my bet on, but he still has one more game to overcome his obstacles,” Nayar explained.
That will be difficult for most batters: Nayar
In the second ODI in Adelaide, Nayar said that Xavier Bartlett’s delivery was outstanding and that Kohli went out. Most batters in world cricket, according to the former India all-rounder, would have found it difficult to handle that delivery.
“I think this was a great delivery, regardless of whether I saw Virat leave or not. Since the seam location indicated the ball would leave him even in his release, I believe the majority of batters in the globe, who have watched his bowling and comprehend him, wouldn’t anticipate the delivery,” Nayar stated.
The seam has always been a point of interest for Kohli.
So he tries to remove the ball from the seam and the hand. You can watch the ball in slow motion and feel as though it will leave you, which is why he chose that location. After pitching, the ball strikes the opposite side of the seam before nipping back in. “Most batters will find that difficult,” he noted.
