KL Rahul‘s World Cup 2023 campaign was fantastic. Every opponent faced a barrier in the middle order in the wicketkeeper-batter. Despite scoring 452 runs at an average of 75.33 in 10 innings, his knock in the pivotal match against Australia was criticised. Even though the wicket was not good for batting, crazy Indian cricket fans could not stomach 66 runs in 107 balls.
After India ultimately lost the championship match, trolls and insults were all over Rahul’s social media accounts. The cricket player said that at first he was prepared to handle the critical remarks, but things gradually started to spiral out of control. He continued by saying that the bandwagon continued even on his days off from the field.
“I used to be adept at responding to trolling. I felt like I was lot younger back then, but I didn’t care. And then, I was exposed to a lot of trolling a few years ago. “I got trolled if I stood up and if I sat down,” Rahul stated on businessman Nikhil Kamath’s YouTube channel.

After that, the Karnataka hitter was left off of the Indian team that went to the West Indies in preparation for the 2024 T20 World Cup. He was determined to settle the number four debate and establish himself as the Indian team’s middle order player.
