Watch: KL Rahul knocks Mominul Haque a superb catch at leg slip

There are plenty of opportunities on Day 5 of the ongoing second Test between Bangladesh and India in Kanpur. Bangladesh finished the fourth day of the match with a second innings score of 26 runs, behind by 26 runs and having lost two wickets.

The hosts had a great start to the last day with to an early wicket from experienced all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin. After smashing an incredible century in the first innings, Mominul Haque was unable to score a lot more runs this time. Rohit Sharma displayed exceptional captaincy skills by asking KL Rahul to field at leg slip in advance.

The ball landed squarely in the palms of KL Rahul, who made a superb catch to start the Indian team’s day off well, as Mominul tried to sweep one of Ashwin’s deliveries.

India wants to achieve victory.

After restricting Bangladesh to 233 runs in the opening session, India went all out on the fourth day of play. It is noteworthy that the rain and soggy outfield on Days 2 and 3 cost both teams a substantial amount of time. But on the fourth day, India tried to make it up to them by going all out.

When the team came to bat in the opening inning, they decided to go for it hard. Yashasvi Jaiswal, the opener, scored a rapid seventy-two, while Rohit Sharma added twenty-three more runs. Along with KL Rahul and Virat Kohli, who added 47 and 68 runs, respectively, Shubman Gill also made 39 runs.

In order to win the game, India, who had declared with 285 runs, now wants to end Bangladesh’s batting attack as quickly as possible.
