KL Rahul discovers his newfound magic in the middle order following superb strokeplay on Day 2 of the Hyderabad Test: “It gives time to plan your innings.”

On Day 2 of the first Test match between India and England at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, KL Rahul thought that he was 14 runs shy of a century.

KL Rahul discovers his newfound magic in the middle order following superb strokeplay on Day 2 of the Hyderabad Test: "It gives time to plan your innings."

In the first Test of the series, which is being played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, India defeated England on Day 2, and their star batsman KL Rahul was instrumental in making that happen. KL Rahul scored 86 runs in the first innings in the home team’s 175-run victory at Stumps, where three wickets were still in tact, despite the opposition’s spin-heavy attack.
