On the first day of the Boxing Day Test, KL Rahul was outstanding at the bat for the Indian squad. Day 1 of the first Test of the two-match series saw India record 208/8 thanks to the 70* runs. The player, who was born in Bengaluru, scored off 105 deliveries when all the other batsmen were unable to muster any momentum. Zaheer Khan, a former cricket player, praised KL Rahul for his positive batting approach and expressed his belief that he may secure his place in red-ball cricket if he performs well with the gloves.
Notably, Rahul has missed a significant number of Test matches in the past few years because of a variety of injuries. Rishabh Pant has the chance to establish himself with the gloves, though, as he is presently sidelined. Zaheer Khan stated that, as he has performed well in the other two formats thus far, it will benefit his career to succeed in red-ball cricket at this time.
