The BCCI informed in a media release on Friday (March 28) that the KKR’ game against the LSG at Eden Gardens, which was initially set for April 6, has been rescheduled for April 8.
The BCCI was asked to reschedule the match by Kolkata Police and the Cricket Association of Bengal, who cited a lack of police officers to be stationed throughout the city for security during the Ram Navami celebrations.
“The request has been granted in accordance with the authorities’ recommendation that the game be rescheduled for Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 3:30 PM (IST). According to the announcement, the rest of the timetable is unaltered.
The April 6 match between KKR and LSG was originally scheduled for an afternoon doubleheader on Sunday.
However, just the Sunrisers Hyderabad vs. Gujarat Titans match will now take place in Hyderabad on Sunday (at 7:30 PM as planned). In the meanwhile, Tuesday’s schedule will feature two games: the KKR-LSG match in Kolkata at 3:30 PM and the Punjab Kings vs. Chennai Super Kings game in Chandigarh at 7:30 PM.
