“There’s sufficient time.” There is still enough time, in Kevin Pietersen opinion, for India and South Africa to play a series decider.

Kevin Pietersen opinion, for India and South Africa to play a series decider.

The series’ second and last Test between South Africa and India was an absolute blur. The match proved to be an utter barn burner, finishing as the shortest Test match in history in terms of overs bowled. The series ended in a tie after the game, which lasted for 1.5 days. India won the second Test, but the Proteas won the first, leaving no obvious winner in a series that lasted only two games.

Observing the same circumstances, former English cricket player Kevin Pietersen expressed his opinion that a third Test might easily decide the series winner. Pietersen expressed the opinion that even if a third Test match is played in Cape Town to decide the winner, the players won’t miss their planned flights home.

“Tomorrow in Cape Town, there is ample time to play the third and final Test match.

The players will not miss their scheduled flights home, and there will undoubtedly be a result in the series,” Kevin Pietersen stated on his ‘X’ handle.

There’s enough time to play the 3rd and deciding Test match to start tomorrow in Cape Town.
There’ll absolutely be a result in the series and the players won’t miss their scheduled flights home. 🥳

South Africa can’t keep up with India’s pacers.

Regarding the match, the Indian pace attack proved vital in securing a spectacular victory and tying the series. Mohammed Siraj took six wickets in an outstanding performance to help South Africa be bowled out for just 55 runs in the opening inning. The Indian squad was not able to respond in kind. During the first inning, the Proteas showed incredible skill with the ball as they dismissed the Indian batsmen for a mere 153 runs.

South Africa began the second inning brilliantly, despite still being behind, with Aiden Markram smashing 106 runs to start the inning. After Markram’s brilliant innings, though, none of the other batsmen could muster any support as Jasprit Bumrah’s six-wicket haul saw the hosts swept out for 176 runs. India won the match by seven wickets, successfully chasing down the 79-run mark to tie the series at one.
