'That’s presence, that’s aura'- Kevin Pietersen on fans' craze for Rohit Sharma

The second ODI between India and England is presently taking place in Cuttack’s Barabati Stadium. In addition to giving the Indian team a chance to win another home series against England, this is a chance for the visitors to bounce back from the defeat in Nagpur.

The Men in Blue won the first game easily, but Rohit Sharma’s performance was still being criticised because he led the team well but was unable to have an impact with the bat. Despite Rohit’s lack of batting performance, the England players still showed him a great deal of respect, and the fans kept cheering him on.

The two-time T20 World Champion’s presence and aura were discussed by former England batsman Kevin Pietersen, who also said it was amazing to watch him receive such a large amount of fan adoration.

The cameras caught the England dressing room as Rohit Sharma took the pitch.

The whole England team turned to look at him when the crowd cheered. He has gradually developed that aura and charisma. In an interview with Star Sports, Pietersen stated, “Not just because of his name, but because of the strength of his performances, his consistency, and the amazing numbers he has put up.”

It is genuinely remarkable. The stadium roars with enthusiasm as Rohit exits the dressing room. It demonstrates the size of these stars. I emphasise this all the time because I want you to enjoy these tales while they are still alive. “Watch the unadulterated feelings in the stands when someone like Rohit steps onto the pitch,” the 2010 T20 World Cup champion continued.

In reference to the match in Cuttack, England captain Jos Buttler won the toss and chose to bat first. India made two changes, replacing Kuldeep Yadav with Varun Chakravarthy and Virat Kohli with Yashasvi Jaiswal, while England made three changes, adding Jamie Overton, Gus Atkinson, and Mark Wood to the playing XI.
