Fast bowler Kemar Roach of the West Indies wants his team to wreck James Anderson’s final Test, saying, “Hopefully we ruin it.”

With Anderson set to retire soon, Roach is more concerned with the goals of the West Indies than with saying goodbye, stressing the significance of winning the series in England.

Fast bowler Kemar Roach of the West Indies wants his team to wreck James Anderson's final Test, saying, "Hopefully we ruin it."

West Indies fast bowler Kemar Roach has challenged his teammates to foil England’s plans for their senior seamer’s spectacular exit, with the goal of upsetting James Anderson‘s final Test match at Lord’s in July.

Roach’s outstanding performance against Warwickshire, collecting six for 46, after a quiet start to the County Championship season, heralds a return to form for the West Indian seamers, notably Jayden Seales and Jason Holder, who have shown promise on the domestic circuit. West Indies, who are aiming for a historic away series victory over England—a record not accomplished since 1988—have one of their most potent pace attacks in years thanks to the Joseph combination of Shamar and Alzarri, who are also in the running.

With Anderson set to retire soon, Kemar Roach is more concerned with the goals of the West Indies than the farewell show, stressing the significance of winning the series in England. Kemar Roach praised Anderson as “one of the greatest” fast bowlers, recognising his major contributions to English cricket during the course of his eventful career.

“We’re playing them in our first Test match; hopefully we mess it up,” Roach said. He’s also consistently provided me wise counsel. He’ll be remembered as one of the best of all time. After that Test match, I hope he enjoys whatever comes next, and I wish him all the best,” Roach continued.

According to ESPN Cricinfo, Kemar Roach stated, “It’s a very highly talented and skilful group,” at the Kia Oval on Monday.

Since things haven’t been great for us in England, it’s more important to concentrate on us than on what they will do for him. He’s going to receive his just desserts. However, it all comes down to us working hard to win the series over here in England, which is what we deserve.”

Roach is 36 years old next month, but he doesn’t seem to be slowing down. He credits his recent success to hard work with Surrey’s coaching staff. Stressing his dedication to the game, Kemar Roach is motivated to coach younger players and help the club succeed, which is why he is determined to continue playing. Roach wants to keep up his excellent play and help his team win a third straight Championship title. He has two more games left in his current Surrey contract.

His words, “I felt good,” “Trying to work on some things has been difficult for me these past few weeks, but it’s always nice to be rewarded for your efforts.” You want to see the stumps flying around all the time as a fast bowler. With Surrey, I’m building. When it comes to the West Indies tour, I want to build on having reached the appropriate mental and physical state.

“I don’t see me retiring anytime soon. Although it’s clearly all about the performances, I believe I can stay as long as I want. As you age, your ability to perform improves in order to be on the squad. I’ve been doing well, but all I want to do is maintain supporting the kids to make sure they’re in a healthy place both emotionally and physically. If necessary, I’ll be glad to see those men come after me and smash those records,” he continued.
