Before the second ODI against Australia women in the current Women's Ashes, Kate Cross said, "They're going to come back hard at us."

The second One-Day International (ODI) in the current Women’s Ashes will take place on Sunday, July 16, at Southampton’s Rose Bowl Cricket Ground between England and Australia. The hosts’ outstanding performance in the first One-Day International tied the series with Australia at one game each. A one-off Test was played to kick off the 2023 Women’s Ashes, and then a three-match T20I series took its place.

Australia triumphed in the Test match, and the home team won the T20I series 2-1. England‘s top pacer, Kate Cross, believes that both teams will be under pressure when they arrive for the contest in the second ODI. The 31-year-old said they are the best team in the world for a reason, but he also acknowledged that the visitors will come back hard.

They’re the finest team in the world for a reason, and Kate Cross warned Sky Sports that “they’re going to come back hard at us.”
