Karun Nair’s career has been a complete rollercoaster, including both triumphs and setbacks. In addition to having one of his greatest seasons in domestic cricket, Nair has already displayed flashes of genius in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Despite his stellar local cricket performances, Nair missed out on making the national team for the Champions Trophy this year. His last international encounter was in 2017, eight years ago. But starting on May 30, the 33-year-old hitter will play in India A’s tour of England. Irfan Pathan, a former all-rounder for India, too responded to the news on social media by recalling one of Nair’s previous posts in which he begged cricket for another opportunity.
On his ‘X’ handle, Pathan said, “Karun Nair’s selection for India A is a clear indication that Dear Cricket will give him another chance to play for team India again.”
