In the current Asia Cup 2025 Match No. 5 between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi, Towhid Hridoy was run out with a direct hit on the third delivery of the fifth over. During his nine-ball stint at the crease, Hridoy, the third wicket to fall in the Bangla Tigers’ innings, failed to score a single boundary, leaving his team reeling.
Towhid Hridoy started running as soon as he drew away a short ball that Nuwan Thushara had delivered to the deep on the third ball of the fifth over.
Although the batter made a full-length dive, Kamil Mishara’s throw from the deep square leg region was spot on and caught him just short of his crease as he was running for a third run.
