Just that experience of Australia saw them through: Head Coach Amol Muzumdar

Australia won the current Women’s T20 World Cup against India by nine runs. Harmanpreet Kaur, the team’s captain, was once again under pressure after failing to lead the team home despite remaining undefeated at 54 runs. For a short time, Deepti Sharma helped her, and India was in a strong position, but they ultimately lost a few quick wickets, which resulted in another loss in a crucial match. India is in danger of being eliminated because of the match between Pakistan and New Zealand on October 14.

Amol Muzumdar, the head coach of India, said following the match that his team was in the hunt till the final over, but Australia, with its experience, made good use of the opportunity. Despite India losing three catches in a high-stress match, he also praised their fielding. Additionally, a run-out and a stumping opportunity were lost. Muzumdar, however, was pleased with the team’s overall performance and thinks that if they had taken those opportunities, the game would have gone their way.

“I believe we were in the game until the very last over; Australia’s experience carried them through.” a little let down by the defeat. We’ve fielded fairly well, in my opinion. cited Muzumdar as stating, “A few opportunities could have been taken and things could have been different.”

If we dig a bit deeper, the only message was: Amol Muzumdar

Muzumdar disclosed that he gave the players advice to go deep in the game at the midway point of the chase, which would put them in a strong position to win. He stated that the objective was to keep the NRR in mind and that Harmanpreet’s presence was crucial until the very end, keeping India in the battle.

“It was primarily about the run-chase.” Maintaining the net run rate within acceptable ranges was the second. The sole takeaway, though, was that we do have a fair possibility of pursuing it if we dig a little deeper. Harman and Deepti only received that message.

I thought that Harman’s presence was crucial right up until the very end, and I nearly made it through the run pursuit,” Muzumdar disclosed.
