Captain Jos Buttler feels that England is prepared for an aggressive India in the T20 World Cup semi-final.

England captain Jos Buttler warned that the Men in Blue will be aggressive ahead of the high-stakes match at Providence Stadium in Guyana, but the Three Lions will respond with the same style of cricket in the hopes of making it to the finals. The 33-year-old also praised Indian skipper Rohit Sharma, who scored 92 runs off of 41 deliveries during the team’s most recent game against Australia.

In the ongoing T20 World Cup, England was dangerously close to losing their group. But the Three Lions turned around their luck and advanced to the Super Eights based on Net Run Rate (NRR) after winning two straight games against Oman and Namibia. They advanced to the semi-finals, where they will take on India, who is yet to lose, after defeating the USA and the West Indies in the Super Eights.

“This is a very different Indian team that we are playing against. The Standard cited Jos Buttler as stating, “They play with a hell of a lot of freedom and try to be very aggressive because of the way Rohit leads his team and the way he bats.”

After the 2022 competition, they most likely made a change, and they continued to play that way in the 50-over World Cup. We’ll need to be prepared for that because they play with a great deal of confidence. We anticipate their aggression, and we plan to meet it head-on,” he continued.

It doesn’t seem good for Guyana’s weather during the match. Remarkably, unlike the second semi-final between South Africa and Afghanistan, there is no reserve day in place, and there is a significant chance that rain may ruin the game. India will advance to the championship game if it’s a washout because they won the Super Eights group.

Speaking about the scenario, Jos Buttler stated that there is nothing England can do about it and that, after speaking with the locals, he is hopeful about a complete game.

Buttler asserted, “You can only control what you can control.” “All we can do is wait and see, and prepare for any eventualities that may come up. Buttler said, “You usually end up getting the full game in when people talk about the weather.”
