‘Don’t think it’s s*** or bust quite yet, it’s clear what we need to do’ – Jos Buttler ahead of do-or-die Oman clash

‘Don’t think it’s s*** or bust quite yet, it’s clear what we need to do’ - Jos Buttler ahead of do-or-die Oman clash

England is in danger of losing the T20 World Cup 2024 after losing to Australia and Scotland in back-to-back games. They must defeat Namibia and Oman handily in order to advance to the Super 8 round; additional outcomes will also be necessary. In their upcoming game, England will probably come out swinging at Oman, anxious for a win.

Before the match in Antigua, captain Jos Buttler made it clear that his team wants to win in order to stay in the competition, not because they are obsessed with crushing Oman. The team knows what has to be done and will stop at nothing to do it, according to the keeper-batter.

I don’t believe it to be s**t or bust just yet. I believe that what needs to be done and how we should play is rather obvious. To have any hope heading into the next match, we must first and foremost win the one against Oman. So, in order to try to win the game, we must gain the right. ESPNcricinfo cited Buttler as stating, “And if we can put ourselves in a position to affect our net run-rate, obviously that’s what we need to do.”

We have to acknowledge that this is the scenario we are in, but we must resist letting it control us. You have no chance at all if we strive to accomplish it first and then give up on trying to win the game and lose. In the last game, I’d want to know exactly what we need to do and have some sort of advantage,” he continued.

In addition, Buttler stated that he doesn’t feel the heat and is more concerned about the individuals in the locker room than the outsiders. England did not perform well in the ODI World Cup 2023, and Buttler’s captaincy may be in jeopardy if the team is eliminated in the first round of the T20 World Cup.
